For creators

How do I earn points?+

Submit a photo you took at a business on Stavo. Once it's approved you earn 100 points at a partner business, or 50 points anywhere else. If the business goes on to publish your photo in their own content, you earn a 300 point bonus on top.

How many points do I need to cash out?+

500 points is the minimum redemption. 100 points equals $1, so 500 points is a $5 gift card. You can redeem for Amazon, Visa prepaid, or Starbucks.

Do my points expire?+

Points expire 12 months after you earn them. Your wallet always shows your current available balance.

Why was my photo rejected?+

Every submission is checked automatically for location and quality. The most common reasons are that the photo wasn't taken at the business, the location data was missing, it was too blurry or dark, or it didn't match the business's content guidelines. Borderline photos go to the business for a manual look rather than being rejected outright.

How do you know I was actually there?+

Your phone records approximate GPS coordinates in the photo itself. We check those against the business's location. Photos taken more than 500 metres away don't qualify.

Will businesses credit me when they post my photo?+

Your handle is attached to every photo you submit and businesses agree to credit you when they post. If a business downloads your photo without marking it as published, we flag it for them.

How do I become a Verified Creator?+

Get at least 8 photos approved and have at least 25% of them published by businesses, both within a rolling 90 day window. Your profile shows your progress toward both. Once you're verified, you stay verified, and businesses can invite you to hosted events.

Who owns the photos I submit?+

You keep ownership of your photos. Submitting one grants the business a licence to use it in their marketing with credit to you. See the Terms for the full detail.

For businesses

What does Stavo cost?+

Plans run from $59/month for 25 photos up to $199/month for unlimited photos. You can set up your account and look around before adding billing.

How do customers know to submit photos?+

You get a QR code from your dashboard. Put it on table tents, receipts, or a window sticker. Scanning it takes the customer straight to your submission page.

Who checks the photos?+

Photos are validated automatically against your guidelines before they reach you. Clear passes land in your library, clear fails are rejected, and anything borderline goes to your review queue for a human decision.

Can I ask for specific shots?+

Yes. Post a content request from your dashboard and creators see it on your page and on your card in the app.

Do I have to credit the creator?+

Yes. Creators earn points on the basis that their handle travels with the photo, and crediting them is part of the agreement when you publish.

Can I cancel?+

Yes, from Settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
